Well, CES 2008 is done and I am going to start posting some items we saw at the show that deserve mentioning on the site.

To start this off, I will be talking about the Sleek Audio SA6 In Ear Earphones. These are much like other companies earphones in that they block out most to all outside noise and stick into your ear with rubber fittings.

I had a chance to sit down with the guys from Sleek Audio and try out their new SA6 In-Ear Monitors. In-ear headphones rely on the ear canal to directly function as a resonating chamber for them to work. Since everyone has differently shaped ear canals, the same headphone can sound significantly different on each person. The really neat thing about Sleek Audio’s SA6 is that it has interchangeable bass ports and treble tips. Sleek’s SA6 earphones premiered at CES in Las Vegas last week, and we’ve got our hands on the first pair to make it to the UK. The earphones and their cable are separate units, which can be connected using tiny gold-plated connectors. This eliminates the most easily damaged part of any pair of headphones - the sealed connection to the cable.
